TripleR will durch transparente Informationen zu Matratzenkomponenten, in Form eines digitale Produktpasses (DPP), die Zerlegung erleichtern, Recyclingprozesse optimieren und Informationen für Kund:innen zugänglicher machen. Als ÖMA-Mitglied treibt TripleR dieses Thema aktiv voran – mit einem europaweiten Ansatz für nachhaltige Matratzenkreisläufe.
Why is circularity an important topic for your company?
We urgently need to solve the waste problem that is caused by mattress disposal. A digital product passport that provides relevant component information for dismantling at the end of the product’s lifespan will create uniform and monomaterial waste streams. This will facilitate both processing and recycling.
What kind of circular innovation or activity does your company work on?
We are a DPP provider, leading a Lighthouse Pilot within the CIRPASS-2 consortium. With this project, we are cooperating with participating members and active customers to offer a solution for the entire mattress industry in Europe. Together with associations such as ÖMA, the Swiss Matratzen Allianz (CH), EPR bodies (Valumat, MRN, Ecomaison, EcoColchon), as well as EBIA and EUROPUR, we are engaging with and developing our solution for the industry.
Why is your company a member of ÖMA?
We want to play an active role in the reverse logistics of mattress recycling in Austria and Europe. MattressID by TripleR wants to partner with ÖMA members to structurally find a solution to end mattress waste.
